AI Chat: Structured Citations and Source Highlighting

Structured Citations in Document AI Chat

What changed:
Document AI Chat now returns structured citations alongside responses, with source highlighting that links answers directly to the location in the document they came from

Why it matters:
An AI answer is only as useful as your ability to verify it. Structured citations close the gap between what the AI surfaces and where it came from, which is the auditability requirement that makes construction document analysis trustworthy in a live bid context.

AI Chat Highlight Integration

What changed:
AI Chat responses now trigger highlighting directly on the document canvas, visually marking the source location for each result.

Why it matters:
Jumping from a chat answer to the relevant section in a drawing or spec used to require manual searching. Highlight integration makes that connection immediate, keeping the review workflow moving without context switching.

Material Quantity Query Routing

What changed:
Chat now routes material and quantity-related queries through a dedicated classifier before responding.

Why it matters:
Material quantity questions require a different kind of precision than general document questions. Routing them through a classifier improves accuracy on the queries that matter most to estimators working through scope and quantities in a pre-construction bid management workflow.

Table of Contents and Navigation

TOC Panel Improvements

What changed:
TOC panel page ranges have been improved, analysis coverage has been expanded, and section titles have been cleaned up for clarity.

Why it matters:
More accurate page ranges and cleaner titles mean the TOC is a reliable navigation tool on complex RFPs rather than an approximation.

Top Navigation Bar

What changed:
A top navigation bar has been added across the platform.

Why it matters:
Faster access to key areas of the platform without backtracking through the project view.

Projects

Submission Date Sort Update

What changed:
The submission date ascending sort on the project landing page has been updated to display correctly.

Why it matters:
Accurate date sorting keeps your active bid pipeline organized by deadline without manual workarounds.

Platform and Extraction

What changed:
Dynamic object detection stability fixes have been applied. Memory management in the extraction pipeline has been improved with additional test coverage. Telemetry has been updated to group traces by pipeline phase and is now active across all environments.

Why it matters:
These changes improve the reliability and observability of construction document analysis at the platform level. Faster diagnosis when issues arise and more stable detection across complex document sets.
